Lurpak® 125 Good Food Vault

Privacy Policy

This notice explains what happens to your information when you enter the Lurpak® 125 Good Food Vault, and when you attend if you're selected. For our general approach to personal information, see the Lurpak privacy policy.

Who's responsible

Arla Foods Limited (company number 02143253), Arla House, 4 Savannah Way, Leeds Valley Park, Leeds, LS10 1AB, decides what your information is used for and is responsible for looking after it.

ZEAL Creative Limited (company number 08949923), MediaCityUK, Manchester M50 2AB, runs the promotion and the event on Arla's behalf, handles your information only on Arla's instructions, and cannot use it for its own purposes.

Questions about your information: info@lurpak125event.co.uk

What we collect and why

When you enter, we ask for your name, age, email address, mobile number, the sittings you'd like to attend, whether you want one place or two, your dietary requirements, and your answer to “What is your favourite good food moment?”

We use it to read and assess your entry, tell you the outcome, allocate you a sitting, manage attendance and the reserve list, plan the menu around dietary needs, and run the hamper prize draw.

Our legal basis is legitimate interests — we need these details to run a promotion you've chosen to enter, and we only ask for what the event requires. For allergy and dietary information we rely on your explicit consent (see below). Where we have to keep records by law, our basis is legal obligation.

If you are selected, we'll also ask you to confirm your guest's name. If you win a hamper, we'll ask for a UK delivery address then — we don't collect addresses at registration.

Allergies and dietary requirements

This can reveal things about your health, so we handle it more carefully. We ask for it only so the kitchen can plan a menu you can eat safely, we process it only with your explicit consent, and we keep it out of our emails and analytics. Only our event team and the caterer can see it. We delete it seven days after the event.

You can withdraw your consent any time at privacy@lurpak125event.co.uk, though we may then not be able to cater for you. Because the menu is prepared in advance, the deadline for telling us is seven days before your sitting — we can't act on it on the day.

Your good food moment

Your answer is read by a panel, which includes an independent judge, as part of deciding who gets a place.

We may also want to share some answers on Lurpak's social channels. If we'd like to use yours, we'll contact you and ask first, and agree how you'd like to be credited. We won't quote you without your agreement. We may refer to entries in general terms without identifying anyone.

Photography at the event

We'll be filming and photographing at some sittings for Lurpak social, marketing and PR. Tell a team member at check-in if you'd rather not appear and we'll take reasonable steps to keep you out of shot.

How long we keep it

  • Allergy and dietary information — seven days after the event
  • Everything else from your entry — 60 days after the event, which allows us to run the prize draw and send the hampers
  • A record of which terms you accepted and when — 12 months, in a form that doesn't identify you

What we don't do

  • No marketing. We won't use these details to send you marketing, and entering doesn't sign you up to anything.
  • No tracking. The site uses only the cookies it needs to work — no analytics, no advertising pixels. That's why there's no cookie banner.
  • No automated decisions. Entries are read and assessed by people, not software. We don't profile you.
  • No selling your data, and no sharing it for anyone else's marketing.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, ask us to transfer it, or withdraw your consent for dietary information. Email info@lurpak125event.co.uk and we'll respond within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113 — though we'd rather you came to us first so we can put it right.

If we change this notice we'll update the date above and post the new version at lurpak125event.co.uk/terms-and-privacy.
